Job summary

AllPro Recruitment are recruiting a Paediatric Physiotherapist for a public health client in Ireland. The role involves high-quality assessment, treatment and intervention for children, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to support positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, participate in CPD and contribute to service development across clinical and community settings. In-person, county Leinster location.

Qualifications

  • Qualified physiotherapist registered or eligible for CORU registration.
  • Experience with children and young people is preferred.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and evidence-based approach.
  • Good communication with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Job description

On behalf of our client in public health, we are now recruiting for a Paediatric Physiotherapist to join their team.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment and intervention to children and young people, working closely with families, caregivers and multidisciplinary teams to support positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Professional/Clinical

  • Manage an allocated paediatric clinical caseload.
  • Assess children and young people and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based physiotherapy interventions tailored to individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with children, parents, caregivers and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust interventions where required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.
  • Provide physiotherapy services across relevant clinical and community settings as required.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to effective care planning.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional, ethical and legal requirements.

Education & Training

  • Participate in mandatory training and continuing professional development.
  • Keep knowledge and skills up to date in relation to paediatric physiotherapy practice.
  • Support the education and supervision of student physiotherapists where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the education of parents, caregivers and other healthcare professionals.

Health & Safety

  • Comply with all relevant health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify and report risks, incidents and equipment concerns appropriately.
  • Ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times.
  • Comply with relevant HIQA standards and healthcare legislation.

Administrative

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of physiotherapy services.
  • Participate in audits, service evaluation and data collection where required.
  • Attend relevant meetings and contribute to service planning.
  • Use IT systems effectively for clinical documentation and service delivery.
  • Promote equality, diversity and respect in the workplace.
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Hold a recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and be registered, or eligible for registration, with CORU.
  • Ideally have experience working with children and young people in a physiotherapy setting.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, reasoning skills and an evidence-based approach to practice.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the physiotherapy process and its application within paediatric services.
  • Demonstrate sound clinical and professional judgement.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with children, families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Demonstrate good organisational and time management skills.
  • Be willing to develop and utilise IT skills relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to providing a high-quality, child-centred service.

Work Location: In person

Pay: Salary will be in line with the current Department of Health pay scale.
