Job summary

Emergn, a technology and management consultancy, is hiring a Senior/Lead PHP Full-stack Engineer in a hybrid role based in Ireland (Dublin). You will design, build, and maintain enterprise applications in PHP (Symfony) and Angular, working with BAs to shape requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.

You’ll apply MVC, DI and CQRS patterns, integrate microservices and secure REST APIs, and optimize MSSQL data with Redis caching while thriving in an Agile/Scrum environment with a strong testing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with PHP and Symfony
• Hands-on Symfony expertise and modern PHP practices
• Angular experience for front-end development (2+, ideally 15)
• Experience with MSSQL databases and Redis caching
• Experience building and securing REST APIs (OAuth)
• Experience delivering in Agile/Scrum with testing discipline (unit/integration)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across PHP (Symfony) back-end and Angular front-end
• Take ownership of the whole solution, collaborating with Business Analysts to shape requirements
• Architect and integrate services using microservices and REST APIs
• Model and optimize data in MSSQL and improve performance with caching
• Apply MVC, Dependency Injection, CQRS with a test-driven approach
• Contribute actively within an Agile/Scrum team with a business-minded mindset
