Job summary

Artemis Human Capital is seeking a Senior Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll across multiple clients in Kilkenny, operating in a hybrid environment. You will ensure accuracy, compliance and timely delivery while managing a talented payroll team.

The role offers hybrid working and a supportive setting with potential for progression. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll experience, strong knowledge of Irish payroll rules and PAYE/PRSI, and a track record of leading teams and driving

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ end-to-end payroll experience.
• Experience in a payroll bureau, outsourced payroll, or professional services is desirable.
• Experience supervising a payroll team.
• Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation, PAYE, PRSI and Revenue requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple payrolls, ensuring accuracy, compliance and deadlines are met.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of payroll professionals.
• Act as the main escalation point for complex payroll queries.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Irish payroll legislation and Revenue requirements.
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations and support audit processes.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation and payroll process enhancements.
• Support payroll-related projects, including system implementations and upgrades.
• Maintain exceptional service standards while managing multiple priorities.

About You

You’ll be an experienced payroll professional with excellent technical knowledge and proven leadership skills.

You’ll ideally have:

• 5+ years’ end-to-end payroll experience.
• Experience working within a payroll bureau, outsourced payroll provider or professional services environment is highly desirable.
• Previous experience managing or supervising a payroll team.
• Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation, PAYE, PRSI and Revenue requirements.
• IPASS qualification (or working towards it) is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
