Job summary

Medforce in Longford is seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join Adult Disability Services. This role focuses on adults with physical and intellectual disabilities across community settings, delivering person-centred occupational therapy.

You will lead on seating, posture management and specialist equipment provision, work within a multidisciplinary team, mentor junior staff, maintain documentation, and contribute to service development and best practice.

Qualifications

• CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, including senior-level experience
• Demonstrated experience in seating and specialist equipment provision
• Experience working with adults with disabilities
• Full, clean driving licence and access to a car
• Excellent communication, organisational and clinical reasoning skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred occupational therapy services to adults with physical and/or intellectual disabilities
• Assess, plan, implement and review individualised intervention programmes
• Lead on seating, posture management, and equipment provision, including complex assessments
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Support and mentor staff grade occupational therapists and students, as appropriate
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development initiatives
