Job summary

Brightwater is seeking a Senior Oracle Developer for a 6 Month rolling contract in South Dublin. You will lead global teams, drive design and development of an EMEA Regulatory Reporting platform, and deliver end-to-end technical solutions within an agile framework.

The role requires 10+ years of software development experience and strong Oracle/PL-SQL/Informatica expertise, with Jenkins CI/CD and Linux shell scripting familiarity. Hybrid work model and generous daily rates apply.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in software delivery management with 10+ years software development experience
• Excellent technical skills with Oracle/PL-SQL/Informatica/Angular/Java/Spring/Autosys and related tech
• Experience interfacing with 3rd party vendor platforms
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Ability to create reusable components across the enterprise
• Strong leadership to guide tech teams in design and delivery
• Excellent SDLC/Agile understanding and Jira usage
• Experience in large organizations or financial services
• Good communication skills
• Oracle PL/SQL (intermediate to advanced)
• Database Development experience
• Experience with CI/CD and tools (e.g., Jenkins)
• Experience with Unit Test Frameworks
• Experience with Linux including shell scripting

Responsibilities

• Hands on senior developer, leading global teams, responsible for the design and development of the EMEA Regulatory Reporting technology platform solutions
• Design, development and support of the End to End solution, in line with over-arching architecture and technology blueprint
• Planning, coordinating, and execution of technology delivery within an agile framework
• Provide technical thought leadership based on experience building multiple software solutions
• Create frameworks, interfaces and complex components for team(s) to utilize and develop
• Constantly looks for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution
• Supports and mentors the team on design and best practices for high code performance - e.g. code / design reviews
• Ensure development team efficiency and looks for ways to improve
• Helps define the technology tool stack for the solution
• Contributes to test strategy creation and automation of test suites
• Ensure best practice delivery within Agile SDLC framework in line with the enterprise policies and standards
• Ensure strong Risk Management, with risk identification, action-plan execution, and lifecycle ownership
