Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Senior Oracle Developer to join Regulatory Reporting Technology for a 12-month contract with hybrid working in Dublin. You will design, develop, and optimise end-to-end Regulatory Reporting solutions, leading technical design and mentoring engineers within an Agile environment.

The role requires strong Oracle Database and PL/SQL expertise, plus Java/Spring, Angular, Informatica, Autosys, Jenkins and CI/CD, to deliver scalable, high-performance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL development.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Framework.
• Experience with Angular or modern front-end technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Informatica and enterprise data integration.
• Experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support end-to-end Regulatory Reporting technology solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and technology standards.
• Lead the technical design and hands-on development of enterprise applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Develop complex Oracle PL/SQL solutions, database objects, and performance-optimised data processing components.
• Build reusable frameworks, components, and interfaces that can be leveraged across multiple applications.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver software within Agile development cycles.
• Contribute to application architecture, engineering standards, and technology strategy.
• Perform code reviews and mentor engineers to promote best practices, high-quality code, and technical excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement across development processes, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and automation.
• Support system integration with internal applications and third-party vendor platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and technical issues.
• Contribute to test strategy development, automated testing, and release management activities.
• Ensure delivery aligns with enterprise governance, security, risk management, and compliance standards.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, technology teams, and delivery partners across the organisation.
