Job summary

ESB Networks in Dublin is seeking an experienced NMS Senior Engineer to join the OSS team. You will support the NMS/OMS/DMS, maintain 24/7 operations, and drive project delivery to enhance grid reliability and renewables integration.

The role requires 5+ years in NMS/DMS/OMS, strong OT knowledge, and mentoring ability. Hybrid working from Dublin with a path to senior leadership within the OSS group.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in NMS, DMS/OMS, or related engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of NMS components including OMS, DMS, network operations and model management.
• Experience in OT environments and safety considerations.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the 24/7 operation of the NMS for ESB Networks and the National Distribution Control Centre.
• Ensure smooth rollout, stable performance and reliable day-to-day operation of the NMS.
• Contribute to delivery of projects aligned with DMSO and cross-functional teams; plan, implement and test.
• Maintain the network model through daily quality audits, issue identification and resolution.
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions to support evolving business needs.
• Provide operational support during critical service interruptions and major weather events.
