Jobgether is partnering with a client in Ireland to hire a Senior Network Design Engineer. You will translate approved OT security architectures into concrete network, firewall and IDS designs for complex industrial environments.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of IP networking and network design experience, preferably in OT or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of VLANs, subnets, routing and network segmentation.
• Hands-on firewall experience: interfaces, zones, NAT, access-control, logging and traffic analysis.
• Experience designing firewall-based segmentation in brownfield OT environments.
• Knowledge of industrial networks including Purdue architectures, industrial DMZs and protocols.
• Experience with OT IDS technologies and deployment in industrial networks.
• SPAN, TAP, traffic mirroring, IDS sensors/collectors and visibility requirements.
• Analytical skills in interpreting firewall logs and network traffic.
• Ability to translate high-level security requirements into detailed designs.
• Strong technical documentation skills for Low-Level Designs.
• Excellent collaboration across Network Operations, Security Architecture and site stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Transform OT security architectures into practical network designs for secure connectivity.
• Define VLANs, subnets, routing and firewall boundaries for industrial environments.
• Produce detailed firewall designs including interfaces, zones, rules and services.
• Analyze firewall logs and traffic to validate OT communications.
• Translate OT IDS architectures into deployment designs with sensors and collectors.
• Define SPAN/TAP requirements to support IDS monitoring.
• Design solutions for brownfield OT environments considering constraints.
• Create comprehensive Low-Level Designs and documentation.
• Collaborate with Network Operations, project teams, and site stakeholders.
• Support implementation, troubleshooting and validation of configurations.
