Job summary

Verizon is modernising core networks and seeks a senior leader to manage Centre Engineering and Vendor Management for numerous build initiatives across the IP network. You will oversee a team of engineers, coordinate design and deployment of management network components, and drive timelines from planning to completion.

You will ensure technical standards, create installation instructions, and maintain up-to-date documentation for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• Previous leadership experience in an engineering role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with complex, distributed systems and multi-project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Engineering team to resolve technical issues effectively.
• Maintain technical standards and forecast deployment targets with accurate reports.
• Create detailed installation instructions and BOMs for new and existing technologies.
• Ensure accurate engineering documentation across ICON/CND, CCP, Canvas, VENUe and related tools.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify issues early and report status.
• Negotiate schedules with vendors and ensure pricing and standards compliance.
