Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Senior MES Sustaining Engineer to lead lifecycle management and support of MES solutions in a cGMP environment. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, Validation, Automation, IT and Engineering to maintain reliable MES performance and drive process improvements.

The role includes ownership of MES incidents, change controls, and compliance activities, with mentoring responsibilities and ongoing digitalization initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Significant experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems in pharma/biotech.
• Experience with Syncade, PAS-X or equivalent MES platforms.
• Experience in regulated GxP environments.
• Proven experience with manufacturing support, troubleshooting and CI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical ownership and support for MES operations and incidents.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and compliance.
• Support MES change controls, risk assessments, testing, and deployments.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, GxP, data integrity and cybersecurity requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, Validation, Automation, IT and Supply Chain teams.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and support teams.
