Job summary

SimoTech has a new opportunity for an experienced MES Engineer to join our team on site in Cork, supporting a global pharmaceutical organisation. The role focuses on Recipe Authoring within the IT Manufacturing team and requires 5+ years with Emerson Syncade.

You will map processes, design and test MES recipes, participate in design reviews and help train end-users, with a hybrid work arrangement on a large Cork campus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as an MES Engineer in the life sciences industry.
• Strong GMP environment understanding and compliance.
• Broad technical experience delivering MES systems projects including design, configuration, and testing.
• Experience with Emerson Syncade in a pharmaceutical API environment.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to enable cross-functional cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Map existing manufacturing processes and develop, implement, and support MES recipes.
• Lead recipe design sessions with Business Process SMEs.
• Test and manage change control activities related to MES recipe changes.
• Develop, configure, and test MBRs from initial to final design.
• Participate in MES design reviews and coordinate with Automation, Lab Systems, ERP, and Quality teams.
• Support ongoing MES development and improve MES business processes.
• Train EBR end-users and maintain SOPs.
