Job summary

John Sisk & Son Ltd in Ireland seeks a Mechanical Lead for Bulk & Specialty Gas Systems to join the Life Science team in Kildare. You will manage bulk gas vendor packages from concept to handover and act as the primary technical interface with equipment vendors and project stakeholders.

The role requires strong engineering capabilities, vendor management, and project delivery skills. You will review PFDs, P&IDs, layouts and ensure designs meet client specs, standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience in process engineering or vendor package management.
• Experience delivering industrial utility systems and knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management of bulk gas vendor packages from concept to handover.
• Act as primary technical interface between equipment vendors and project stakeholders.
• Review vendor deliverables: PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, GA drawings, data sheets, control philosophies.
• Monitor progress against design, procurement, manufacturing and commissioning schedules.
• Lead design review meetings at 30%, 60%, 90% and IFC stages.
• Ensure timely closure of technical queries and action items.
• Coordinate interfaces with civil/mechanical/electrical/instrumentation and site systems.
