The position offers a hybrid work model, competitive salary ranging from €65,000 to €80,000 depending on experience, and a range of benefits including paid overtime and pension scheme.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (hybrid) – Limerick office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and deliver comprehensive Mechanical Design for projects of all sizes, ensuring exceptional client care.
• Ensure quality control for Mechanical Engineering projects across all offices.
• Manage project budgets and cost control effectively.
• Lead project teams and cross‑functional teams within the organization.
• Represent EDC at client meetings, site visits, surveys, and training as required.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other EDC offices on relevant matters.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in delivering detailed designs throughout the full design cycle.
• Expertise in Mechanical design areas: Water Services, HVAC, Heating/LTHW, Fuel, drainage, and BMS.
• In‑depth knowledge of Irish building regulations, particularly TGD Part B, F, G, and L, with proven application in design leadership.
• Skilled in managing multiple projects, prioritising tasks, and maintaining efficient work plans.
• Strong leadership in internal/external project management, ensuring client satisfaction, profitability, and upholding EDC’s reputation for repeat business.
• Comprehensive understanding of multidisciplinary building design and installation, with excellent attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and commercial awareness.
