Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to provide technical leadership for AHU, data centre cooling, CRAH, and CDU projects. You will translate complex customer requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions and lead technical discussions from concept to production release.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customers, senior engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure design compliance, prototype validation, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in HVAC mechanical design engineering.
• Experience leading complex customer-driven engineering projects.
• Strong ability to translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for AHU, CRAH, data centre cooling, fan wall, and CDU projects.
• Lead technical discussions and reviews; mentor junior engineers.
• Interface with customers to define requirements and validate designs.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and internal design practices.
• Support prototype validation, testing, and production release.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, controls, and project management teams.
