Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited in Dublin seeks a Sr. Software Development Manager to own the end-to-end RDS customer and internal operations console, guiding users to configure and manage databases.

You will lead multiple teams, shape product and technical vision, and drive agentic AI features, while partnering with design, product, and platform teams to deliver a scalable, safe, and fast console experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering.
• Experience in engineering team management.
• Experience in planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software.
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and delivery for the RDS AWS Console experience, covering both the customer console and the internal operations console.
• Lead the incorporation of agentic AI into the console: assistive guidance, contextual insights, and safe, scoped automated actions for customers and operators.
• Build and deliver the next-generation internal operations console, modernizing and replacing legacy operator tooling.
• Lead and grow several engineering teams; hire, develop, and retain strong managers and senior engineers.
• Raise the bar on console usability, accessibility, performance, and safety across every RDS surface.
• Partner with AWS Console, design, product, and RDS platform teams to deliver a coherent, best-in-class experience.
• Represent console and operator strategy to senior AWS leadership and align stakeholders on long‑term direction.
