Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited in Dublin seeks a Senior Software Development Manager to own end-to-end customer experience for the RDS console and internal operations console.

You will set vision, lead multiple engineering teams, and guide adoption of agentic AI to improve usability, safety, and speed.

This role requires deep engineering judgment and strong product sense to shape the next generation of AWS Console experiences.

• Experience in engineering management and leading multiple teams.
• Experience delivering consumer software and partner with product teams.
• Ability to plan, design, develop and deliver scalable software solutions.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with design, product, and other orgs.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and delivery for the RDS AWS Console experience for both customer and internal operations consoles.
• Lead the incorporation of AI capabilities into the console, with safe, scoped automated actions.
• Build and deliver next-generation internal operations console, replacing legacy tooling.
• Lead and grow several engineering teams; hire, develop, and retain senior engineers.
• Raise usability, accessibility, performance, and safety across the RDS console surface.
• Partner with AWS Console, design, product, and RDS platform teams to ensure a coherent experience.
• Represent console strategy to senior AWS leadership and align stakeholders on long-term direction.
