Job summary

PSC Biotech Corporation in Carlow, Ireland, seeks a Senior Maintenance Technician to maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and improve electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing. You’ll ensure regulatory compliance and safe operation, with emphasis on GMP requirements and full shift patterns.

Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, responsibilities include calibration, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and collaboration with vendors.

Qualifications

• A time-served Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics, MAMF or equivalent Engineering Apprenticeship, supported by a relevant Certificate, Diploma, or Trade Qualification.
• Experience in highly regulated pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Strong hands-on maintenance, calibration, fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with process instrumentation and control systems including PLC/SCADA.
• Experience using CMMS systems such as SAP or Maximo.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective technical support to Production in electrical, instrumentation, and automation maintenance.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and process instrumentation.
• Execute calibration activities on instrumentation and control valves.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, MES, and DCS-based systems.
• Document maintenance and calibration in the CMMS with complete history.
• Support shutdowns and maintenance projects with resources and parts planning.
• Lead root cause analysis of faults and implement CAPAs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement via Kaizen and reliability projects.
