Senior Machine Vision Engineer An established manufacturing technology and innovation organisation is seeking a Senior Machine Vision Engineer to support the development and deployment of machine vision solutions within advanced automated manufacturing environments. This position is suited to a hands-on engineer who has successfully integrated vision systems into production equipment and automated machinery. We are specifically interested in candidates with practical experience delivering machine vision projects in manufacturing, automation, machine building, or systems integration environments.
Significant experience integrating machine vision systems into industrial automation or manufacturing environments. Proven track record of building, commissioning, or supporting automated machinery and production systems. Strong hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Cognex, Keyence, MVTec Halcon. Experience integrating vision systems with PLC-controlled equipment. Experience working with industrial automation, special-purpose machinery, machine builders, OEM equipment manufacturers, or systems integrators. Strong understanding of industrial cameras, optics, lighting, image acquisition, and inspection system setup. Experience working within multinational manufacturing, engineering, or automation organisations. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in live production environments.
Robotics integration experience (ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Universal Robots, or similar). Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, or OPC UA. Exposure to Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, or digital factory initiatives. Programming experience in Python or C++. We are particularly interested in candidates who have delivered real-world machine vision solutions on production equipment rather than purely research, academic, or software-focused computer vision projects.
