NNIT A/S in Limerick is seeking a Machine Vision Engineer to develop, test, and implement machine vision solutions across manufacturing sectors. You will work onsite, collaborating with automation engineers and customers to design robust vision systems, integrate with PLC/SCADA, and ensure compliance and performance.

You will contribute to plan, test, and document software and hardware components, applying knowledge of vision tools and industrial networks.

Qualifications

  • Proven Cognex vision systems experience.
  • Experience with vision tools, camera setup, lighting and image processing.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation and production environments.
  • Experience integrating vision to PLC systems and industrial protocols.
  • Strong English communication and documentation skills.
  • Technical education in engineering, automation, robotics or software.

Responsibilities

Job description

As Machine Vision Engineer, you will be responsible fordeveloping, testing and implementing machine vision solutions across a varietyof manufacturing sectors.

  • Location:This role will be based onsite in Limerick so you should be able tocommute daily to site

Your tasks will include:

  • Develop vision applications for inspection, guidance,measurement and quality control use.
  • Supportrequirements clarification, solution design and technical documentation.
  • Design,configure and implement robust machine vision solutions using Cognex andother vision platforms
  • Responsiblefor specification of camera/ lighting hardware & software forapplications.
  • Integrate vision systems with PLC, SCADA, MES and othermanufacturing systems
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting and optimization ofvision applications
  • Collaborate with customers, automation engineers andproject teams
  • Host customer visits/ demonstrations as required
  • Ensure solutions meet quality, compliance and performance requirements

We are looking for a structured and technically skilledengineer with solid hands on experience in machine vision.

You have:

  • Proven experience with Cognex vision systems as a minimumrequirement
  • Experience with vision tools, camera setup, lighting, lenses and imageprocessing
  • Knowledge of industrial automation and production environments
  • Experience with vision integration to PLC systems and industrialcommunication protocols
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in production settings
  • Delivery of detailed documentation and a quality focused mindset
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • A relevant technical education within engineering, automation, robotics,software or similar

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with Keyence, Omron or other machine visionplatforms
  • Experience from pharma, life science or other regulated industries
  • Knowledge of validation, GxP or GMP requirements
  • Experience with robotics, motion control or advanced automation
  • Programming experience within C sharp, Python or similar

Fluency in oral and written English is amust.
