Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Accountant within its M&A team based in Ireland (Dublin area) to lead technical accounting, pre- and post-close integration, and reporting for acquired entities. The role partners with Corporate Development, Finance, Legal, Tax, and Operations to assess accounting implications and ensure timely, audit-ready financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience (public or technical), strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, and hands-on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA/CA (or equivalent) required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or technical accounting.

Responsibilities

• Technical accounting research and documentation for business combinations, asset acquisitions, equity transactions, and fair value measurements.
• Assist in purchase price allocations, goodwill and intangible asset assessments, and opening balance sheets in ERP.
• Analyze stock-based compensation, foreign currency translation, consolidation, and statutory reporting in applicable jurisdictions.
• Prepare audit-ready memos, schedules, and supporting materials; assist with internal/external audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other local accounting standards; support SEC rules and internal policies.
• Provide accounting input into deal structuring discussions and purchase term agreements.
• Lead or support integration tasks: chart of accounts mapping, close process integration, policy harmonization; open balance sheets, fair value adjustments, and purchase price allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable processes and internal controls across Finance.
