Job summary

Orange Recruitment in Ireland is seeking a Senior Litigation Claims Handler to oversee a portfolio of liability litigation claims, setting case strategy and negotiating settlements with solicitors and expert witnesses. This is a hybrid role with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.

You will monitor costs, ensure governance and compliance with MCC/CPD requirements while delivering fair, commercially sound outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We're hiring a Senior Litigation Claims Handler to manage a portfolio of liability litigation claims, set case strategies, work closely with legal professionals and expert witnesses, and deliver fair, commercially sound outcomes for clients and customers.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced claims professional who enjoys taking ownership of complex cases, negotiating settlements, managing costs, and making confident decisions in a fast-paced claims environment.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing a portfolio of litigation claims from strategy through to resolution
• Assessing cover, liability, expert input, reserves, and settlement opportunities
• Working with solicitors, counsel, experts, clients, and internal stakeholders
• Attending consultations, hearings, and trial-related discussions where required
• Monitoring costs, authorising payments within authority, and supporting strong governance
• Ensuring compliance with claims handling policies, MCC/CPD requirements, and fraud prevention standards

What we're looking for:

• MCC qualified, with CIP as a minimum
• Knowledge of PL, EL, Motor and/or Property claims
• Proven ability to manage litigation strategy, negotiate, and settle claims autonomously
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• A customer-focused, commercially aware approach
