Job summary

QT Technologies Ireland Limited seeks a Linux Platform & HLOS Stack Developer to build and maintain custom Linux-based software for next‑gen SoCs. You will work on kernel drivers, boot, and bring‑up, with strong debugging across hardware and firmware, collaborating with silicon, validation, and software teams.

The role emphasizes telemetry, automation, and platform observability, using Python/Bash, Git/CI, and modern dev practices to enable robust platform engineering across Cork’s engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, etc.
• PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, etc.

Responsibilities

• Enable and maintain a custom Linux software stack for platform enablement, validation, and characterization.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize kernel drivers and platform software.
• Debug issues spanning hardware, firmware, bootloaders, Linux kernel, and userspace.
• Develop Device Tree configurations and platform-specific software components.
• Design telemetry, monitoring, and automation tools to improve observability.
• Build tooling interacting with hardware debuggers and platform interfaces for data collection.
• Collaborate with silicon, firmware, performance, and validation teams to resolve issues.
• Develop tools and workflows to improve platform stability and productivity.
