Job summary

Qualcomm Ireland seeks a Linux Platform & HLOS Stack Developer to join a distributed team. You will develop, maintain, and enable a custom Linux-based software stack for next-generation SoCs and development platforms, focusing on kernel drivers, boot firmware integration, and low-level debugging.

You will collaborate with silicon, validation, and software teams to ensure reliable platform operation, performance, and observability.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Linux internals and kernel development.
• Proficient in C and ARM Assembly; comfortable with Linux build systems.
• Experience with boot flows, device trees, and Linux bring-up.
• Hands-on hardware debugging using JTAG or similar tools.
• Telemetry, observability, and performance monitoring for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Enable and maintain a custom Linux stack for platform enablement and validation.
• Develop and optimize kernel drivers and low-level software.
• Debug complex HW/SW issues across stack layers.
• Create Device Tree configurations for platforms; automate data collection.
• Collaborate with silicon, firmware, and validation teams to resolve issues.
• Build tooling for hardware debuggers and platform interfaces.
