Job summary
QT Technologies Ireland Limited in Cork, Ireland, is hiring an embedded software engineer focused on device driver development at the hardware/software interface. You will develop and support low-level drivers, collaborating with hardware designers to refine interfaces and ensure cohesive operation across hardware and software domains.
Most software will be written in C for ARM/DSP processors, with Python tooling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of programming with C, C++, Python, etc.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support low-level device drivers directly controlling hardware (digital clocks, voltage regulators, GPIOs, interrupts).
- Collaborate with hardware designers to improve hardware/software interfaces.
- Work across hardware and software domains; primarily C on ARM/DSP processors; Python tooling.
