Job summary

EY Ireland is seeking a Senior Manager in Life Sciences to lead commercial strategy, market access and/or R&D medical initiatives. The role sits within the growing Life Sciences practice and involves shaping strategy across the R&D to market access value chain for pharma, biotech and medtech clients.

The ideal candidate has extensive consulting experience, strong leadership, and a track record in delivering innovative health care solutions and business development in a global context.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a traditional management consulting environment and/or Global Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Med Tech organisation.
• Experience leading and implementing innovative strategies in R&D, Medical, Commercial Strategy; Pricing, Reimbursement, Market Access.
• Strong client-facing experience, including directing workshops and delivering strategic recommendations.
• Experience in global multidisciplinary teams across regions/countries.
• Ideally an MBA or advanced degree; fluent English with other major languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead multiple clients and project teams across the commercial value chain.
• Supervise day-to-day work of multiple teams and coordinate with Practice Directors/Partners.
• Engage with clients to resolve challenges in portfolio/ disease strategy, asset positioning, market access, pricing and reimbursement.
• Support introduction of technology platforms, digital/AI solutions, or business transformation.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and identify opportunities for new business proposals and growth.
• Lead new business proposals, project scoping, and resource planning.
• Assist Practice Directors/Partners in recruitment and resource allocation.
• Develop and deliver specialist EY methodologies through training internal and external.
• Contribute to thought leadership through writing and speaking engagements.
