Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Senior KYC Analyst in Ireland to support AML/KYC onboarding, periodic reviews, and event-driven assessments across client portfolios. The role emphasizes detailed analysis of Customer Identification, Customer Due Diligence, and Enhanced Due Diligence within policy-driven processes.

Reporting to a KYC Operations Team Lead, you will guide junior staff, collaborate with Relationship Managers, and ensure timely completion of KYC within deadlines.

Qualifications

• A college or university degree and/or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Prior experience in an AML/KYC function.
• Experience analysing complex ownership structures to determine risk exposure and jurisdiction specific KYC requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player with strong time management skills.
• Proven experience being an effective communicator with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain KYC records by obtaining information and supporting documentation from internal and external sources.
• Work alongside Relationship Managers and client facing teams to obtain documentation required to meet KYC requirements directly from clients.
• Review information and documentation received to ensure compliance with Northern Trust AML/KYC policies and procedures.
• Validate information within the KYC system of record and ensure CIP and CDD is fully complete and accurate.
• Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high risk clients, including PEP analysis and completion of relevant EDD forms.
• Analyse complex ownership structures to determine risk exposure and applicable jurisdictional KYC requirements.
• Work with 2LOD and the KYC CoE / PM teams regarding policy or procedural questions.
• Ensure follow ups are performed in a timely manner to complete KYC within required deadlines and meet KRIs/KPIs.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress and outstanding requirements.
• Support KYC Analysts with complex KYC queries to minimise outreach to external teams.
• Attend and participate in regular AML awareness training sessions to support quality and consistency of deliverables.
