Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build Kubernetes-native platforms and automation in a remote/hybrid setup. You will work with Platform Architects, SREs, DevOps, and Cloud Engineering teams to deliver scalable cloud-native solutions and improve reliability.

The role combines software development with cloud engineering, emphasizing Go, Kubernetes, Terraform, and automation. Strong collaboration and mentoring will be expected across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience developing Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, CRDs or platform automation tooling.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and software design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Kubernetes Operators, Controllers and Custom Resources using Go.
• Develop automation for platform provisioning, upgrades, recovery, scaling and operational workflows.
• Create high-quality, testable, and maintainable software following modern engineering best practices.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and improve software delivery processes.
• Work extensively with Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm and GitOps tooling.
• Design reliable and resilient distributed systems capable of managing complex workloads.
• Improve platform security, reliability, observability and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable cloud-native solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
