Job summary

InterSystems is seeking an Application Engineer to join its global infrastructure and platform engineering team in Ireland. You will build Kubernetes-based managed services and SaaS platforms using Go, with emphasis on automation, reliability, and security.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or platform engineering experience.
• Strong Go development with Kubernetes and cloud-native apps.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes APIs, CRDs, RBAC, and security concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and code review.
• Familiarity with Helm, Terraform, GitOps tools and workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Kubernetes-native software in Go.
• Build automation for provisioning, upgrades, scaling, and recovery.
• Write unit, integration, and cluster tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for platform software releases.
• Integrate with Kubernetes networking, storage, and security features.
• Contribute to tooling with Helm, Terraform, Argo CD, Flux.
• Implement RBAC and secure defaults, logs and metrics collection.
• Troubleshoot workloads, reconciliations, and deployments.
• Collaborate across engineering, SRE, security, and docs teams.
