Job summary

The Trust is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a 12-month contract in Galway, with 1 week per month in the office. Start date is ASAP. The role focuses on delivering strategic initiatives with a strong emphasis on code quality and secure development practices.

You will work in a matrixed environment, applying agile methodologies, TDD, and automation to deliver high-quality software. Strong ownership and collaboration across locations are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years software engineering experience.
• Excellent Java skills are a must.
• AWS & Azure skills an advantage.
• Very good understanding of design patterns.
• Independent on complex technical and functional analysis.
• Take ownership of aspects of project or code base.
• Contribute to continuous improvement.
• Support test driven development and automation.
• Follow Fidelity standard processes.
• Agile methodologies and Jira experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality of solution delivery and execution.
