Job summary

Standard Life plc in Ireland is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the design, planning and delivery of IT and business change initiatives from inception to closure. The role requires delivering within scope, time, budget and quality, with emphasis on strong stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration.

The position offers hybrid working, a base salary of €90,000–€100,000 with a 10% non-contributory pension (matched up to 2%), funded industry qualifications and lunch

Qualifications

• Experience leading IT or business change projects from inception to closure.
• Ability to deliver on time, budget and quality.
• Strong stakeholder management in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Determine when risks and issues can be dealt with internally or escalated to senior stakeholders.
• Build relationships with project team members and stakeholders, often without direct line management responsibility.
• Effectively manage projects with limited resources in a cost‑pressured environment.
• Balance long and short term objectives to meet timescales in a changing environment.
• Lead initial scoping to define business case, objectives, deliverables and success measures.
• Apply PM tools and techniques to deliver the project successfully.
• Secure appropriate resources at project outset and maintain them throughout.
• Produce high quality project documentation and governance aligned with objectives.
• Identify and manage stakeholders to keep sponsors and steering groups informed.
• Operate within the project governance framework to monitor risks and issues.
• Develop networks to share best practice in project management.
• Conduct project reviews to close projects and capture lessons learned.
