Job summary

Douglas Control & Automation seeks a Senior IT OT Engineer to join our Cork team on a long-term basis, with flexibility to operate as a staff member or contractor. The role covers networking, server/workstation hardware, AD, Windows deployments and security across IT/OT environments.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in IT/OT projects, experience in Pharma/Manufacturing/GMP settings is beneficial, and a strong focus on Hyper-V, firewalls, and network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Primary degree in IT/OT is advantageous but not essential.
• 7+ years’ IT/OT project and support experience, ideally in Pharma/Manufacturing/GMP environments.

Responsibilities

• General Networking (Ethernet LAN & Wifi)
• Install, configure & troubleshoot hardware (Servers, Workstations, Switches, APs, NAS, Firewalls)
• Deploy Windows OS and manage domains
• Manage AD domain & policy
• Hyper-V virtualization environments (build, deploy, manage)
• Dell server and workstation hardware installations and support
• IT and/or OT Cyber Security responsibilities
• Configure Palo Alto and/or Cisco firewalls
• Manage Ethernet cabling infrastructure (copper & fibre)
