Job summary

EFOR in Ireland seeks an experienced Senior IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer to deliver, maintain, and troubleshoot IT and OT infrastructure across project and operational environments.

You will bring a strong background in infrastructure, networking, servers, virtualization, cybersecurity, and hardware support, with hands-on capability to resolve complex issues and document systems comprehensively.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT/OT project and support experience.
• Strong knowledge of networking, servers, virtualization, cybersecurity and hardware support.
• Experience with Ethernet LAN and Wi‑Fi networks.
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment.
• Windows 10/11 and Windows Server administration.
• Active Directory and Group Policy management.
• Palo Alto and/or Cisco firewall technologies.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT/OT Infrastructure Engineer to support the delivery, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT and Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure across project and operational environments.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in infrastructure, networking, servers, virtualisation, cybersecurity, and hardware support.

Key Requirements

• 7Minimum of 7 years' experience in an IT and/or OT project and support environment.
• Significant hands-on experience in a number of the following areas:
• Ethernet LAN and Wi-Fi networking.
• Cisco networking equipment and infrastructure.
• Server, workstation, network, storage, backup, and firewall technologies.
• Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.
• Active Directory and Group Policy management.
• Dell server and workstation hardware.
• Network, operating system, hardware, domain, and application troubleshooting.
• IT and/or OT cybersecurity.
• Palo Alto and/or Cisco firewall technologies.
• Copper and fibre network cabling infrastructure.
• Technical and systems documentation.

Qualifications & Desirable Experience

• A primary degree in IT, OT, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in a Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, or GMP-regulated environment would be advantageous.
• Experience with formal systems documentation and validation deliverables, including URS, design specifications, validation, and verification documentation, would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and technically capable professional with strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
