Job summary

Abbott Ireland, Kilkenny, is seeking a Senior Specialist IT Business Analyst to shape and deliver strategic technology initiatives across Digital Manufacturing, MES, IIoT, Analytics & AI, Automation, Cloud Platforms, Cybersecurity, and ERP Modernisation.

You will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams, translating requirements into effective solutions, maintaining SDLC governance, and mentoring junior analysts in a fast-paced environment at Abbott's Kilkenny site.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in Business Analysis or IT Solutions Delivery.
• Experience gathering, analysing, and documenting complex requirements.
• Proven ability to work with stakeholders at multiple levels to deliver value.
• Experience developing functional and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, business processes, and enterprise apps.
• Experience with GxP, data integrity, and systems validation.
• Vendor and system integrator management knowledge.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and related digital/IT tech (MES, LIMS, ERP integration).
• Experience contributing to project planning and solution design.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business users to understand objectives and translate requirements into tech solutions.
• Lead analyses to define system scope, objectives, and business requirements.
• Evaluate processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct feasibility studies and assess options for decision-making.
• Develop detailed business, functional, and system specifications.

• Create and maintain technical and user documentation.
• Analyze and resolve system issues for performance and UX.
• Mentor junior analysts and share knowledge with project teams.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.
