Job summary

Abbott Diabetes Care Kilkenny is seeking a Senior Specialist IT Business Analyst to lead strategic technology initiatives across Digital Manufacturing, MES, IIoT, Analytics & AI, Automation, Cloud Platforms, Cybersecurity, and ERP modernization. You will bridge business needs with technical solutions, shaping enterprise systems and driving long-term value.

You will partner with stakeholders, translate requirements, and guide complex analyses, ensuring delivery of high-impact, scalable solutions

Qualifications

University degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related discipline.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, IT Solutions Delivery, or related field.
Experience gathering, analysing, and documenting complex business and system requirements.
Proven ability to work with stakeholders at multiple levels to identify and deliver business value.
Experience developing detailed functional and technical specifications.
Understanding of SDLC, business processes, and enterprise apps.
Experience with GxP, data integrity, and systems validation.
Experience with vendor and system integrator management.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and digital/IT technologies (MES, LIMS, ERP integration).
Experience contributing to project planning, effort estimation, and solution design.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Partner with business users to understand objectives and translate requirements into technology solutions.
Lead complex analyses to define system scope, objectives, and requirements.
Evaluate processes, workflows, models, and systems to identify improvements.
Conduct feasibility studies and assess solution options for decisions.
Develop detailed business, functional, and system specifications for delivery.
Estimate costs, evaluate resources, and support planning.
Create and maintain technical and user documentation.
Analyse and resolve system logic issues for optimal performance.
Utilize CASE tools and standard methodologies.
Mentor and share knowledge with junior analysts and teams.
Collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.
