Job summary

SSA Group is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Estimator to join a leading Main Contractor in Ireland. The role involves preparing detailed estimates for electrical and M&E projects, managing budgets, taking-offs, and pricing subcontractor and supplier packages.

You will oversee variations and advise on cost risks while liaising with stakeholders across Ireland and Europe. Based in the Ireland office with some site visits, the role offers opportunities to mentor junior estimators and influence bid

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in electrical or M&E estimating.
• Experience preparing tenders, take-offs, and cost plans for large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field is a plus.
• Valid Irish driving license and eligibility to work in Ireland.

About the role

Based in the office with some site visits, reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for: preparing detailed estimates for electrical and M&E projects, managing budgets, performing take-offs, pricing subcontractor and supplier packages, overseeing variations, advising on cost risks, and liaising with project stakeholders across Ireland and Europe. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior estimators and contribute to bid strategy.
