Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants in Dublin seeks a Senior Estimator to manage tender processes end-to-end across diverse sectors. You will lead the tender team, coordinate supply chain quotations and prepare risk, cost plans and feasibility studies for client briefings.

The role requires a construction-related degree and 10+ years' experience with a main building contractor in Ireland or the UK, with strong local market exposure. Hybrid working is open for discussion.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience estimating for a main building contractor.
• Experience in Ireland and/or the UK market.
• Proven ability to manage tender processes end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Manage the tender from receipt, through submission and post tender queries.
• Liaise with and manage the internal and external tender team.
• Mark up enquiries to suppliers, organise Bills Of Quantities, obtain quotes.
• Evaluate quotations from supply chain and align with project specs.
• Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity.
• Prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings.
• Review supply chain performance quarterly.
• Attend pre-qualification, mid tender and post tender interviews.
• Visit sites to obtain feedback.
• Prepare cost plans and feasibility studies, liaise with clients.

Job description

Senior Estimator Senior Estimator required for a leading Main Contractor to work out of their Dublin office. The successful Senior Estimator will be responsible for a range of projects across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have 10 years experience estimating with a main building contractor in Ireland or the UK, with a strong preference for local market experience.

Duties

• Manage the tender from receipt, through to submission and post tender queries.
• Liaise with and manage the internal and external tender team
• Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain, organise Bills Of Quantities production and obtain material quotes where necessary
• Evaluate returned quotations from supply chain and liaise with supply chain member to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements
• Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity
• Arrange and prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings
• Review supply chain performance quarterly
• Attend pre-qualification, mid tender and post tender interviews
• Visit sites to obtain feedback
• Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies and liaise with Clients

Requirements

• Construction related degree
• The Estimator must have 10 years+ experience working as an estimator for a main building contractor or similar
• Must have experience working in Ireland
