Job summary

Bentley Systems in Dublin is seeking a senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer to drive rapid prototyping, architectural de-risking, and tactical engineering initiatives in a hybrid/on-site role. You will work across stacks and clouds, delivering PoCs and validated architectures for the global Product & Technology teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering delivering high-performance software in fast-paced environments.
• You are self-directed, comfortable operating autonomously, and turn ambiguity into actionable solutions.
• You possess fluency across multiple languages (C#, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C++) and learn new ones.
• You collaborate with the global P&T organization to ensure prototypes meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Full-Spectrum Problem Solving across varied technical domains and projects.
• De-Risk Architecture by coding PoCs and benchmarking performance for emerging tech.
• Operate Across the Stack & Cloud using multiple languages and cloud platforms.
• Package validated architectures and hand off to global P&T teams for ongoing work.
