Job summary

Bentley Systems is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Software Engineer to work within our global Product & Technology organisation. You will tackle rapid prototyping, architectural de-risking, and tactical engineering initiatives, partnering with the CTO and senior architects on short-cycle projects.

You will create functional PoCs, evaluate technologies, and deliver solutions across architecture, design, and hands-on implementation, then hand off successful work to core product teams for

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering high‑performance software.
• Autonomy and bias for action with ability to handle ambiguous, rapid initiatives.
• Fluency in multiple languages and ability to communicate with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Perform full‑spectrum problem solving across varied technical domains and projects.
• De‑risk architecture by coding and benchmarking PoCs to validate performance.
• Operate across stack and cloud, leveraging polyglot languages and major cloud platforms.
• Package validated architectures and hand off to global P&T teams for next steps.
