Job summary

Silent Aire in Ireland is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to provide technical leadership for AHU, data centre cooling, CRAH, and CDU projects. You will work as the primary interface with customers, translating requirements into innovative, manufacturable solutions from concept through prototype validation and release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years in HVAC mechanical design engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of AHU design and HVAC standards and codes.
• Proven track record leading complex customer-driven engineering projects.
• Experience acting as a technical consultant to customers.
• Experience from concept through prototype validation to production handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical interface between customers and the engineering team.
• Define requirements and drive concepts through validation and release.
• Translate complex customer needs into manufacturable AHU solutions.
• Review designs, approve submittals, and mentor engineers.
• Lead customer-facing technical meetings and workshops.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, controls, and PM teams.
• Support prototype testing and performance verification.
• Resolve technical issues during design, testing, and field operation.
• Review bid submittals for AHU/CRAH/CDU before submission.
