Job summary

Silent Aire, part of Johnson Controls, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical design for large-scale liquid cooling solutions and CDU projects. You will collaborate with mechanical, controls, and manufacturing teams to deliver compliant, high-performance electrical designs.

You will own concepts through final documentation, develop power distribution and control architectures, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring schedule and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical; ePLAN experience would be beneficial.
• 5+ years of electrical design engineering experience in HVAC, data centre, industrial, or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, motor controls, panel design, and control system integration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and ability to mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for large-scale liquid cooling solutions and CDU projects.
• Develop power distribution schematics and control architectures.
• Produce wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts for custom equipment.
• Perform load, fault current, cable sizing, MCA, and voltage drop calculations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, controls, manufacturing, and project teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
