Job summary

Sisk Group is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to provide on-site support and ensure health, safety, environment, quality and wellbeing standards across major projects in Ireland, the UK and Europe.

You will work under the BU Health & Safety Manager, mentoring Advisors and Graduate Advisors while promoting a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management or related discipline.
• NEBOSH
• General Certificate or equivalent recognised H&S qualification.
• Experience in risk assessment, auditing, incident investigation and compliance monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and implementation of Health & Safety systems, procedures and standards on allocated projects.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and reviews to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in the preparation of risk assessments, method statements, environmental management plans and wellbeing initiatives.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring thorough analysis and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams on Health & Safety matters.
• Deliver Health & Safety awareness briefings, toolbox talks and training to site teams.
• Collect, analyse and report Health & Safety performance data to the Health & Safety Manager.
• Promote a positive Health & Safety culture through engagement with site teams.
• Support tender and pre-contract processes with Health & Safety input.
• Maintain awareness of relevant legislation, standards and best practice and support compliance across projects.
