Job summary

Comer Group Ireland is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join a South Dublin residential development team. You will work with the construction management team to ensure a safe and productive work environment and to uphold the Health & Safety Management System on site.

The role requires strong risk assessment, incident investigation, and training needs identification, with the ability to build strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders and to chair H&S meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Health and Safety in Ireland (contractor, developer or PSDP).
• Able to chair and deliver Health and Safety meetings and presentations.
• Ability to manage H&S on-site using the management system.
• Strong ability to manage risk and implement control measures.
• Able to build strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work with Comer Group Ireland Construction management to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Monitor and enforce the Health & Safety Management System on site.
• Investigate incidents and address non-conformances.
• Coordinate safe systems of work for contractors and ensure compliance with site regulations.
• Develop and implement risk assessments and improvements to the Safety Systems.
