Job summary

The Irish Cancer Society is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead H&S across Head Office, retail shops, Daffodil Centres, events and nationwide activities. You will embed H&S into daily operations, provide expert guidance to leadership, and own the risk management framework.

You will develop policies, conduct risk assessments and audits, and drive continuous improvement while supporting a diverse range of locations and teams within the Society.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience at Health & Safety Manager level in a complex org.
• Experience managing H&S across multiple locations and sites.
• Strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to develop and implement H&S policies, procedures and systems.
• Experience in charity or multi-site environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and ongoing review of H&S strategy, policies and programs.
• Ensure compliance with Irish Health & Safety legislation and codes.
• Act as subject matter expert for H&S guidance across the Society.
• Provide practical, proportionate H&S advice to managers and colleagues.
• Promote a strong H&S culture and personal responsibility.
• Maintain H&S policies, risk assessments, audits and incident management.
