Job summary

VOID Interactive, a remote-first studio behind Ready or Not, seeks a Senior Graphics Engineer to lead core rendering systems in Unreal Engine 5 across platforms. You will drive performance, quality, and scalable solutions with a highly collaborative globally distributed team.

You will own rendering and graphics feature design, work with artists and designers, and mentor junior engineers while solving complex challenges in a large codebase.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional game development experience.
• Strong C++ and math skills.
• Experience shipping at least one AAA console title.
• Recent professional experience working with Unreal Engine.
• Deep understanding of real-time rendering techniques and pipelines.
• Familiarity with low-level graphics APIs (DirectX12, Vulkan) and tools like RenderDoc or PIX.
• Strong debugging, optimisation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimization of core engine, rendering, and graphics systems within Unreal Engine 5 across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement features that support gameplay, content creation, and overall product quality.
• Partner with technical artists and content teams to identify bottlenecks and scalable technical solutions.
• Own graphic performance and optimization strategy, helping to establish best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Serve as a technical advisor on complex graphics features, identifying risks and tradeoffs.
• Work with production and leadership to estimate, plan, and deliver engineering work.
• Contribute to technical decision-making and long-term project goals.
• Communicate technical solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
