Job summary

Horizon Quantum Computing seeks a Director of Business Operations to translate strategic priorities into scalable, efficient workflows across Ireland and Singapore offices. You will oversee daily operations, develop BCDR frameworks aligned with ISO 22301, and manage risk, safety, governance, and cross-functional programs.

You will lead OKR planning, drive policy creation, and partner with Legal & Compliance to translate privacy and export controls into actionable processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Business Operations, Management Consulting, or GRC within high-growth deep-tech or SaaS.
• CBCP or ISO 22301 certification or formal training and ownership of ISO 22301-aligned BCDR frameworks.
• GDPR/PDPA knowledge and international export controls familiarity.
• Track record delivering complex non-technical projects (entity setups, grants, office expansions).
• Led company-wide OKR planning, tracking and execution to align cross-functional priorities.
• 10+ years of management experience across diverse teams and operations.
• Able to communicate with PhD-level researchers and senior engineers about SDLC.
• Experience taking a company policy through its complete lifecycle with audits.
• High technical literacy and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities and translate goals into scalable workflows within budget.
• Own BCDR design, testing, and maintenance; manage risk register and safety programs for audits.
• Drive company-wide OKR framework and translate targets into actionable outputs.
• Develop and enforce end-to-end SOPs and policies meeting governance while staying user-friendly.
• Bridge operations with Legal & Compliance, translating privacy and export controls into workflows.
• Lead external programs and industry affiliations, coordinating documentation and deliverables.
• Implement initiatives for a structured, high-performance work environment across offices.
• Define and iteratively improve company policies to better support tech teams.
• Evaluate productivity and spend; recommend improvements for efficiency.
