Job summary

Jobtailor in Dublin, Ireland seeks an accomplished frontend developer to build scalable, component-driven UIs with React.js and TypeScript. You will work across business users, vendors and stakeholders to craft robust solutions and ensure high code quality through testing.

You will mentor junior developers, contribute to design systems, and stay aligned with modern trends in frontend architecture while collaborating in an Agile, CI/CD-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience in front-end roles.
• Extensive React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+) expertise.
• Strong understanding of React hooks, context API, and state patterns.
• Experience with Redux, Zustand, or Recoil for state management.
• Proficiency with TypeScript in large-scale React apps.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS and responsive design.
• Familiar with Webpack, Vite and build tooling.
• Experience designing component libraries or design systems.
• Experience testing with Jest, RTL, Cypress/Playwright.
• Git, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT degree.

• Strong experience with Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or other state management libraries.
• Solid knowledge of TypeScript and its application in large‑scale React applications.
• Proven experience building high‑performance, scalable, component‑driven UIs.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL into front‑end applications.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, CSS‑in‑JS, and responsive design principles.
• Strong understanding of frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel, etc.).
• Experience designing and maintaining component libraries or design systems.
• Strong grasp of frontend architecture, modularization, code splitting, and performance optimization.
• Application of unit/integration testing using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
• Experience with Git, modern CI/CD practices, and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Demonstrated experience using AI‑powered development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot or Cursor).
• Certified React Developer or other industry accreditations.
• Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Crucible & Confluence).
• Appreciation of secure coding and security techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT Degree or equivalent 3rd Level Education.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
