Job summary

Reap is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own full-stack development for client-facing web and mobile platforms. You will build scalable, robust systems spanning both frontend interfaces and backend services, collaborating closely with product and design teams to deliver secure, high-quality fintech solutions.

You'll contribute to a modern stack (TypeScript, React, NestJS, Prisma, PostgreSQL) on AWS with Docker, CI/CD, and strong emphasis on reliability, performance, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, owning and operating business-critical systems.
• Strong across the full stack: React frontend and TypeScript/NestJS backend with cloud deployment.
• Database skills with Prisma and PostgreSQL/Aurora; writing and optimizing queries.
• Maintainable, well-tested production-ready code and thoughtful error handling.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and peer-review participation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to drive development from concept to deployment.
• Build scalable, high-quality full-stack applications meeting fintech industry standards.
• Lead by example, improving engineering practices and code quality.
• Keep the tech stack current by adopting relevant trends and technologies.
• Enhance reliability and performance for large user bases and mission-critical services.
• Support recruiting by screening resumes and participating in interviews.
