Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and deliver full-stack features using Java Spring Boot APIs and TypeScript/React frontends. You will contribute to cloud-native evolution on AWS, migrate to EKS/Kubernetes, and implement robust CI/CD pipelines.

You will work with AWS RDS Aurora, DynamoDB, and integrate with core banking systems and CRM. The role emphasizes code quality, security tooling, and mentoring peers in a small, autonomous team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong TypeScript and React experience for complex UI development.
• REST API design (OpenAPI/Swagger), microservices, distributed systems.
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, RDS Aurora, DynamoDB, EKS or equivalent).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins, Docker and container security tooling.
• Autonomy to work in a small, cross-functional team with ownership of outcomes.
• Nice to have: experience in regulated financial services (FCA/PRA, PCI-DSS) or core banking/CRM integrations.
• Familiarity with core banking platforms like Mambu or Dynamics 365 integrations.
• Experience with SonarCloud, SAST/DAST tooling, or security-focused development practices.
• Breadth of experience across multiple companies or product teams.
• Interest in AI-augmented development tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.).
