Job summary

Testing Site - JPMC is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer to join the Employee Platform Technology team in Ireland. You will design and deliver scalable, secure software products in an agile environment, collaborate on trading systems, cloud integrations, and data-driven improvements.

You will contribute to high-quality production code, influence architecture, and work with modern languages and databases while supporting a diverse and inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts; minimum 3 years' experience.
• Experience with back-end development using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience maintaining code in large corporate environments with modern languages and database queries.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Understanding of CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Practical cloud native experience with AWS.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Produce or contribute to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
• Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to continuously improve software applications.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.

• Applied back-end software development experience with industry leading software like Java Sprint Boot
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Practical cloud native experience with AWS
