Job summary

Ayesa Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead flood defense and alleviation design projects across the UK & Ireland. The role involves coordinating with project teams, directing GIS (QGIS), CAD and REVIT deliverables, and mentoring small teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Applicants should hold a Civil Engineering degree (Honours) and ideally be Chartered or on track to charter within 12 months. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Honours) required.
• 5 years in design of large infrastructural projects or flood-related work.
• Chartered status preferred; but candidates aiming to charter within 12 months will be considered.
• Familiarity with PWC forms of contract is an advantage.
• Proficient in GIS (QGIS), CAD and REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of flood defense and alleviation design projects from options to detailed designs.
• Oversee design processes for large-scale infrastructure, directing CAD/REVIT drawings and GIS work.
• Lead and mentor small teams to foster collaboration and high performance.
• Ensure deliverables meet strict quality criteria; implement and maintain Quality Management System.
• Manage contracts for surveys and third-party inputs; ensure compliance with timelines and contracts.
• Monitor regulations and KPIs; take corrective actions as needed.
